||I wish it was longer. DX OTHER PEOPLE NEED TO POST.|| A snarl left the Shoukaze’s lips as they were suddenly attacked. He detached himself from Kiseki’s tight grip and immediately assumed a fighting position, his own blade drawn. This sword materialized in his hand at the first sign of the new Kouenki, its black edge shining menacingly in the moonlight. Crimson eyes burned with a fire which could only be lit by prejudice and blind anger. He should have expected this from another Kouenki… It was their job to get rid of dark creatures like him, after all. Few would believe he changed from his old ways, from killing mercilessly and seeking power without any restrictions. Although it wasn’t ‘visible’, Kiseki was able to see the blood which coated his soul. This ‘Yami’ didn’t know how, but the Light creation was able to see past that part of his past. She accepted him for what he was now.
However, there was no telling when he would, if ever, revert back to the way he was before he met the Kouenki. Creatures like him were unpredictable, but Kiseki chose to take that chance. This war needed him as well as she did; there was no doubt about that. The two needed to be careful, though.
The Shoukaze hissed at the other and her weak attempt at a proper assassination. If it were one of his kind committing the murder, the victim would already be dead. Showed how much the Kouenki needed to learn before taking on the true evil ones. If they couldn’t strike without hesitation, they would surely perish quickly. Yami planned to show her what he was thinking.
“Are you afraid of attacking me? You were created to kill Shoukaze, but I do not see that happening,” the black-winged one whispered in a low voice. His body language said ‘try me’.
Before anything could really happen, however, the bunny intervened. A bright ball of light sped between the two of them, exploding into sparkles a few feet away. Yami, temporarily letting his guard down, turned to the Light. She stood to his right, obviously angered. Orbs of light hovered right above her palms, and her golden irises glared at the two.
“Stop it, both of you,” the Kouenki of light hissed. “Yami isn’t like the others. I would be dead if he was. I suggest you reconsider what you’re doing.”

(You two post longer then me. =( )
I opened one of my eyes, I could hear voices. At this time of day? It got my attention at least but...I was perfectly comfortable where I was right now. It can't be helped though, I didn't want to fall asleep with my enemies around so...
I stood up, still keeping a grip on the wall before falling to the forest side of the stone barrier. First things first. I pulled the cloth that covered my left arm and uncovered a wing blade. (http://www.chinwoo.com.au/joomla/images/stories/weapons_cicada_wing_blade.jpg Kinda like this only shorter and more shield-like.) I switched the strap to my right wing, even though that was my weaker side. In the current situation I was in right now, I probably was just going to check the situation out and run.
With the small preparation in play, I began following the voices. I could detect three people. Two I found familiar but I couldn't pin as to who they were right now. The third...there was malice in it. A Kouenki? Maybe.
“Yami isn’t like the others. I would be dead if he was. I suggest you reconsider what you’re doing.”
Huh...looks like I got here at the end...or maybe the beginning of a battle. I touched ground a few feet from everyone, carefully examining what was going on. First off...Rin of Ice and Kiseki of Light. The two of them were here. The third...I believe was Yami was his name judging from what Kiseki said. He might be one of these Kouenki that weren't as bad but still... "Are you sure he can be trusted then?" My eyes narrowed as my grip on my weapon tightened.

nate's not all crazy, rebellious teen now. he's more dusk-ish with a bit of crazy... whatever. xD um, his outfit is similar to the character's here: www.straysonline.com/comic/18.htm just without the rings here and there, the two swords, and the fishnet-like things (: also, i dunno why, but i imagined the Shoukaze having some enhanced bird-like senses and shizz. Correct me if I'm wrong~ :)

Oh, sweet night time. All was still in the world, silence reigning supreme at this twilight hour. Light was gone at a time like this, with the stars far too distant to be of any use to anyone. Granted, such things were unneeded for one with enhanced senses. Eagle-like eyesight, owl-like hearing... All abilities of the lone figure that was perched on the thick branch of an Oak, surveying the premises with a rather blase expression. It was, after all, the only thing he had been doing for the past hour.
His search came up with the usual results: nothing. Of course, his full efforts were not placed in the search: a large portion of his mind buzzed with energy, the thoughts of her bringing a renewed vigor that kept him going during times like this. Three days... It had been precisely three days since he had seen anything worth nothing and that specimen had gotten away. Needless to say, his leader would not be pleased. Punishment would vary, but it didn't matter. 'Anna.' He needed to keep going, to perhaps learn of her exact location or something... 'For her. I will keep going for her.' Despite this, he was not doing anything truly productive — thinking of her made him work hastily, going through the routine without much effort or thought on what he was doing.
"Nothing?" A whisper, deep and calm, the ending pitch raising inquisitively. His pale lips remained open, mere millimeters separated them as he waited for something to contradict him.
Wooosh. And there it was. The sound of a creature flying would have been nearly undetectable to a normal human being, but Nathanial was not a normal human being — he was so much more. That poor Kouenki... As Nate silently jumped off the branch and plummeted down to the ground at an alarming rate, it seemed that living would be lucky.
His wings snapped out after a few moments, saving him from a rather messy death and causing him to fly parallel to the ground. Massive trees seemed to want to save his prey, barring his way. Unfortunately for the Kouenki of Wind, Nate was a rather apt flier and darted through the trunks of the ancient Oaks, spinning and weaving like a fighter plane. At first sight of the trio, Nate slowed and darted up, high above the group and perched on a wide branch. A good enough seat where Nathanial could see everything, but it was not a desire for entertainment that lead him there. It was pure instinct, that told him, Fly high above the rest and look for weaknesses. And so he had obeyed that command and had followed the next — be sneaky — by resting on the balls of his feet, his elbows on his knees and his chin on his interlaced fingers, in complete silence. He remained perfectly still, an oddly pale statue with narrow carmine eyes, staring at the back of another Shoukaze and the faces of a few Kouenki. He did not blink, he did not speak, he did not smile. For all they knew, they had simply imagined him, a black-booted devil with the muscles in his arms accentuated by the lack of clothing and the golden hilt of a dagger on his left hip glinting menacingly in what little light there was. ooc: Ok, sorry for the long wait guys, but Ari's finally posting! XDD Anyways, Anna kinda has a habit of refering to people that she's going to kill as her 'dollies'. Don't ask me why, I'm not exactly sure. ^_^;
*******
It was nights like this that the girl liked the most; dark, cold nights that allowed shadows like her to hunt without going noticed by all except their prey, and by that time it was too late for the poor souls to do anything. A chilling wind swept through the path the girl was walking on, rustling the skirt of her long black dress and causing her golden locks to fly into her face. None of those things seemed to matter, though, as she breathed in the scent carried by the wind. A faint smile appeared on her face then, gem colored eyes turning in the direction it come from. The Kouenki had always had such interesting scents, easily distinguishable from those of humans or her own kind. And when a group of puppets got together, well, it was almost like they were begging her to come and find them. There was a loud ‘snap’ as bat-like ebony wings unfurled, and soon, the girl was airborne. A few flaps carried her over to where the vast expanse of trees began, and there she paused, smile turning into a visible frown. Trees, what annoying things they were, always standing in her way when she wanted to go somewhere. It was in order to avoid that problem that the girl normally walked to her destination, and besides, she never had anywhere to go. But now, things were different. Her dollies were waiting for her, and she was eager to play. Slowly, her grip on her favorite ‘toy’ loosened, and the object was held sideways, moonlight dancing across the metal surface. The blade sang as it slice through the wood as if it were butter, the severed part of the tree thudding loudly as it fell to the ground. The girl tilted her head for a moment as she admired her work, then, with a giggle, she cut another tree out of her way, a path toward the Kouenki’s location slowly beginning to form. “Look out, dollies; Anna’s coming to play.”
