I have returned and bring with me the D&D-esque RP I promised long ago. In this post I shall detail how I operate, in the second post I shall detail plot, and in a third post I shall detail character creation. So, if you can bare with me, please wait to post until character creation is posted.
---------------------------- How I operate:
During this D&D style RP, I shall simply act as the Dungeon Master, the story teller as it were. I shall guide you, the players, along a plot I have thought up and shall react to your actions. I will not guide you along a railroad of story, it is your characters initiative to explore and within your own capacity to uncover what I have laid forth.
During battle sequences, I will punch your stats (see character creation) into a program I have prepared for this RP. When describing your attacks, you may be elaborate as you wish, so long as you do not describe any actual hits. You may describe what you attempt to do, and please, be sure its something possible within the time-span of average reaction time (6 seconds). If there are any questions on this, feel free to ask before a battle begins.
Anything typed is assume to be in character unless proceeded with an "OOC:" tag, or tagged in some manner you dictate within your entry post. Please be sure that any chat is wrapped in quotation marks, else I will assume your character is thinking to themselves.
With that, I do believe it is time to post the plot.
Edit: I also do NOT condone Player vs Player (PVP) unless plot related. It is usually messy to handle. However, if you guys wish to fight, I will attempt to handle it.
(Hoping I can edit my own posts if I see something wrong).

Location: Planet Takros. A planet where many races live, both otherworldly and every-day races. (I plan to redo the map in photo shop eventually, this one was doe in Paint.) Backstory: Long ago, five powerful kings ruled Takros and its 5 continents in harmony. Karn, a great warrior of the sword, ruled Karon. Brom, a master with the axe, ruled Panot. Raist, a master of magic, ruled Dashi. Argas, skilled with the bow, ruled Kora. Last but not least, Gidornia, master of shielding and fortification, ruled over Baloki. One day, Karn became greedy over his lands, and attacked Brom without warning, taking his lands. This began a war between Argas, Brom, Gidornia, and Karn. Raist was smart enough to stay out of it, but foresaw the doom of the planet if the fighting were to continue. He cast a powerful spell, sealing each king's soul within their own weapon, including himself. The weapons were then hidden somewhere within the continent in which they were held. Since that time, many warriors have tried to find the weapons, none have succeeded. When Your Character Starts: You start out in the capital city of whatever you home continent is (detailed withing character creation), inside your house. The local storyteller has just sent notice that he wants you to join him for dinner to discuss something.

You all stand inside your respective homes, each holding a letter. Mierva & Kierta (Since you two are in the same starting city, I'm combining you two, as you both received the same letter.) The letter you hold is written on a fine piece of papyrus and the handwriting seems gently crafted. It reads:
"Greetings traveler,
My name is Li'kola, and I am but the humble Master of Tales in this town. Its has come to my attention that you may possess a yet untapped potential to our nations great history. Please, come to my house for dinner tonight if you wish to know more.
~Li'kola"
Attached is a small map, showing you the layout of Dornunun, the capital city of Dashi. A house in the corner seems to be circled. DurbarrumThe letter you hold seems to have been written on the remains of an alcohol soaked paper bag. The handwriting is very shoddy and smeared. It reads:
"Hello,
My name is Li'tono, I am the cities story teller. Please come to my house for some important information regarding a venture.
~Li'tono"
Attached is a small map, obviously bought from a local shop, of Karon, capital city of Panot. A small shack seems to have been drawn on the outskirts of the city and been circled in what looks like mud.

Durbarrum scowled and folded the piece of paper and pocketed it for safe keeping. Sure the prospect of a venture from a story teller was an interesting idea but the way this...letter was so cheaply made gave Durbarrum second thoughts. Shaking his head, he finished up his duties at home and locking up. Once that is done, I examine the map and make my way to this shack outside of town.
(I assume we don't have any starting money or items, otherwise I would post gathering said objects.

Seeing as this was the classiest piece of parchment I'd received in a while, I took the piece of paper and slid it into my robe carefully. I'd need the map soon, anyway. It took a quick scan of my desolate shack to realize I had nothing worth taking besides the clothes on my person. Carefully, swiftly, gracefully, I slid my angular form from my home. I was off. Maybe this was a note of great treachery, a trick, a threat. Quite honestly I had nothing to lose. My life was dismal, weak, empty, and maybe, just maybe, this was the spark it required. I began to move toward the location indicated on the map, my stomach craving to cry out in desperation, anxiety, and excitement. If no grand event came from this visit, maybe a decent meal would at least surface itself.
OOC: I think she likes her dramatics. Anything in colors like this will be my OOC...

Mierva stared at the paper in her hands, frowning slightly as she read it. For something that had been pushed underneath her door, it was quite fancy, though she had to wonder exactly how important it was if someone had just left it there on the floor. Having ‘untapped potential to our nations history’ didn’t seem like that big of a deal.
For a moment she considered not going. Then she looked back at the letter. Fancying handwriting and fine paper normally belonged to someone of class, and people of class normally had large amounts of money, even if they were story tellers.
She turned her attention to the attached map and smirked before stashing both in her blouse. Grabbing her cloak from its place by the door, she threw it on and set out onto the streets of Dashi, towards what she hoped was a worthwhile endeavor.

DurbarrumYou arrive in front of a small shack on the edge of town. The place smells of herbs and something very, very, old. The door in front of you has light flooding from underneath it. The door is decorated with a shield, overlapped with crisscrossing weapons. You can smell a small hint of cherry blossoms coming from inside.
MiervaYou arrive in front of a lavishly decorated house. The hustle and bustle of town is all around you, but seems to be empty in this one street. The door before you is made of a fine oak, and is decorated with strange designs depicting a shield overlapped with crisscrossing weapons. A warm light peeks out form the bottom of the door, and you can smell various cooking meats coming form inside.
KiertaAs you approach your destination, you see a woman standing in front of the same door you're after. She wears a cream colored dress and a black cloak, and pointed ears stick out from her dirty blonde hair.

"Pardon," timidly, quietly, nervously I murmur, sliding to the side of this figure, "but, by chance, are you here for a dinner?" A small risk, if any at all I'd assume. I smiled gently, because that would be the only part of my face not concealed by the shadow of my hood. Though daunting as it may be, I find it best to conceal my face as such. "You see, I received a letter..." I began, praying silently to all that was holy that this wasn't some sort of trap. I now realize how timid and forgiving my voice becomes when I am not using my talent for dramatics. Maybe this individual would at least interrupt me.

I snort and waved a little of the smell away. "Judging from the conditions of the shack, people don't take care of it too well." I think to myself. Tracing the outline of the shield on the door, I knock three times and step back from the door and wait to see if there is an answer.

A smirked etched itself across Mierva’s face as this sight. She was more certain that ever that this house belonged to a person of wealth, someone who (she hoped) would be willing to pay generously for her assistance towards history. With this thought in mind, she raised a hand to knock on the door, only to stop upon hearing a voice beside her.
“Yes I am.” She replied, eyeing the figure. The smirk immediately fell from her face, and she didn’t bother to return the smile.
Despite the other woman’s timid tone, Mierva didn’t trust her. Even if she came with good intentions, she was potential competition for whatever gifts might lay inside the house, and Mierva wasn’t going to allow anyone to steal her treasure.
“I too received a letter.” She began, cutting the other woman across. While it wasn’t hostile, her tone wasn’t friendly either. “And it appears as though our host is ready to receive us, don’t you think?”
And without waiting for a reply, she knocked on the door.

DM: To answer the question, player interaction is solely between you guys on here, unless some action that requires my acknowledgment occurs. DurbarrumThe door opens to reveal a modest shack, not completely falling apart. An old man stands in front of you, dressed in dark green robes and hunched over, leaning on a staff made of cherry blossom tree. You can see a few small sprouts of bonsai trees on the table and two plates sit, full of beef and bread. "Come in, Durbarrum, we have much to discuss." Mierva & KiertaThe door opens in front of you both and a old man with a small trimmed beard stands in front of you. He stand straight and tall, at least a head above you both. His warm blue eyes glance over you, and a smile lights up his face. Behind him you can see a fancy house, with decorations on the walls and a fire in the fireplace. On the table sits a feast fit for a few dozen people, but only three chairs surround the table. He slowly bows, keeping his eyes on you both. "Welcome to my humble abode. I have been expecting you both. Please, come in and make yourselves at home. I have a few things to get from upstairs and then I will be down to dine and discuss some very important things with you. Please, talk amongst yourselves for a while."

I winced as the tone of the woman's voice practically cut my ears. I try to live my life as a compassionate, giving, helpful soul. This woman gave the impression that this was not one of her priorities. As the door was opened I stood aside, examining the denizen of the home carefully. He seemed trustworthy enough, and I truly was famished. As the aromas of food tempted, teased, and lured my hunger, I still stood aside. "After you, Miss." I murmured gently, awaiting my turn to enter the building.

‘Humble abode’ her rear end. The house was one of the most lavish that Mierva had ever had the good fortune to ever set her eyes upon. The interior itself looked to have cost a good sum, and the decorations… Her eyes went wide as she struggled to take it all in.
She returned the man’s bow with a curtsy, and gave a quick nod to the other woman as she hurried inside. As expected, everything looked better from up close, and she couldn’t decide what to inspect first.
Her hands itched to grab something, anything now and make a run for it while the man was upstairs; anyone of the pieces would feed her for at least a week. But a glance at the other woman and the meal that await her quickly dispelled that idea.
She didn’t know what the female was capable of, and the food on the table was too good to pass up. Sighing softly, she removed her cloak, set it on the back of one of the chairs, and took a seat, hands clasped tightly in her lap.
She only had to wait until the end of the meal, and then she would make her move.

Pulling out the chair to the left of the woman gently, I slid my form into the chair. I kept my cloak on, as this is not unusual for me. I feel revealing my facial features is not necessary. There have been two people I have done this for. My father and mother, and since they have passed no human has seen my face since the days of my youth. Only my cloak, and my jaw. "The meal smells delectable," 'tantalizing and scrumptious.' I finish my sentence in my thought, my right side toward my company. The moon clasp on my cloak caught the light gently, the soft material holding in my heat. I'd had the cloak for years, and it was in impeccable condition. Maybe she'd ask about it. Conversation would be lovely, splendid, glorious! Anything to break the silence.

Mierva eyed the woman wearily as she sat down, gaze momentarily resting on the clasp of her cloak. It looked to be of some value, though nothing she would consider stealing, what with the rest of the treasures in the room. Still, she found it odd that the woman would keep her cloak on even indoors, and the fact that she kept it carefully covering her face was equally perplexing.
“Indeed it does.” She replied, keeping her tone polite. “Though I am curious as to how you intend to partake in the meal without sullying your lovely cloak, what with it resting so close to your mouth.”

I have a look around the shack and note all the botany. "For a storyteller, you must love your plants," I say and step through the door. "What sort of venture would someone like you bestow upon a simple person like me?" I ask, still suspicious that the city's storyteller would have something worthwhile.
