||Random info: If you guys didn’t know, there are different skins I created myself for you guys to use. I might make a Myuutsu one soon, just for you guys. You can all chat on the ‘Accept Roseh’s Love for Pete or Sod Off’ board instead of using ooc here. I’m deleting most of it anyway.||
Not one person was normal. The Elite hissed, unraveling her arms from each other and resuming a fighter’s stance. Maira’s reaction was yet again unexpected. Perhaps Blood Raven was underestimating the quiet female; the silent ones were usually the most dangerous in a situation. You wouldn’t know of their full plans before they were executed or it was too late. So Maira had pokémon of her own once upon a time; judging by the empty state of the spherical devices, the two were probably Rogues. The amused smirk only lengthened. If Blood Raven wasn’t careful, she’d be outnumbered again. She could only observe as the other female rose and done a Swords Dance.
Usually the Elite wouldn’t have much luck. Jerald was already near, judging by the almost inaudible flap of wings and a landing. Two more pokéball-esque devices were ripped off of the holster. One had considerably more chains than the other. That particular item was more battered as well. Her arms crossed, the hands holding the balls hovering near the opposite shoulder. (She had enough training on Yoake to ride her without any hand control.) Blood Raven would be ready for more interference. If worse became worst, she still had one last creature, and that was her most powerful.
It’s not like she’d actually call for help… forget about it.
Merely contemplating over these facts just wasn’t enough. The wind whipped at the Elite’s cascading hair as Yoake shifted positions constantly. Mystique was still a problem along with that little boy settled above it. The Latias’s comment wouldn’t be taken lightly either. It was preparing another Zen Headbutt; for extra safety, Blood Raven levitated the pokéballs in the air next to her before wrapping one arm around Yoake’s neck. Evasive maneuvers came first.
As expected, Blood Raven caught sight of another old opponent: Myuutsu. The more heavily-covered mechanism was brought forward, the chains unraveling. Whatever was inside wouldn’t be released just yet. The Elite wasn’t the type to provoke with her pokémon. She would only reveal when the other did so first and attacked. Everything was made easier as the girl with the metal legend fled. One less fight to worry about.
Don’t worry – they would be tracked down soon enough. The cat-like creature wouldn’t be able to stray from the Elite’s path for long. It was still a legendary, and all still had to meet. Blood Raven would know the coordinates of the next meeting before it even occurred.

The smirk on Blood Raven's face spoke everything the lady was thinking. Thinking about the emptyness of Maira's pokéballs.
The usually isolated woman's eyes turned dangerously threatening as she pinned down at her target, the lady with the chained pokéballs. Maira had never been the type- weak or not- to attack those who's death with be useless in the world of the present. She let her sharp talons glint in the sun's light, the only real purity in this year.
She would not go for the dragonair.
Not the Shuckle.
But at the one being that really mattered.
A once lost blood lust overcame her eyes as she aimed a Slash attack at Blood Raven.
ooc:// *cawff* Fighting the actual trainer is much more fuun. ^^

OOC:
Omigosh, that would be sooooooo flippin' awesome! :D (You saw that coming.)
Myuutsu snarled as the Elite's eyes passed over him. He wanted nothing more than to simply tear those eyes out, and that black heart, and simply...
He shut his eyes, blocking out the image. No use stooping to her level; that only made him as evil as she was. After all, it was her organization that had started this Era. Still, he wished her dead. A... vendetta, perhaps? Not entirely. Even if the clone himself was not the cause of Blood Raven's death, as long as she was gone, that would be satisfactory.
When that time would come, however, was... unsure. She was hard to injure; even more difficult would be the task of killing her.
Thing was, Myuutsu was almost positive the YnK did not want him... dead. After all, if he eventually did turn fully Rogue, he would be useful to their dastardly cause.
Still, no use giving in now. He shot a particularly hateful glare at the Elite and flew off back into the destroyed city.

Jerald and XV016 flew higher to avoid the Sandstorm. Jerald growled as his vision, as well as everyone else's, suddenly blocked. "XWG442, pull out now." He turned to XV016 and nodded. "Chaos Shift Ice." XV016 flew higher, about fifty feet before a light surrounded its body like it was evolving. It wasn't long before the white fur turned to a light blue, the wings disappeared. XV016 became a Glaceon. Landing on Jerald's back, the two fell slightly before getting back up. XV016 looked down, the Chaos aura was slowly leaking from the pokemon. Eye's narrowed before firing an Ice Beam at the Steelix, its trainer, and the Legend. Jerald wasn't exactly wanting to interfere but having this...Legend escape would be unsettling.

{Sorry for the wait - backetball pictures. -rolls eyes-} As if the world wasn't hell enough already, the girl with the freaky-looking beige (?) snake had to make it hard to see. Fan-fucking-tastic - Nicholas couldn't see a thing and was reminded of his days near Mauville in which the desert was the thing he was most afraid of. Not only that, but his father had been alive in Mauville - not always with him, but he was alive and well back then. This was like reliving a nightmare, except worse - he was flying now, and it was hard not to vomit at the thought of falling to the ground, Mystique's fral (or so Nicholas thought) being dragged away by the malevolent gusts of wind.
Soon, the boy's worst fears came alive.
The Dragon's attack made contact at the lower-half of the other Pokemon's body, the impact causing it to spiral upside down. The child's lower body fell from its seat and the child's palms quickly grew sweaty as his Pokemon repositioned itself so it was flying with its stomach to the ground, going too quickly for the pale orphan's comfort. His hands grew clammy as his steed zoomed over Yoake, apparently not noticing how he weakly gripped its left wing for it glared at Blood Raven, no doubt wondering if she had done something to her rider.
"Mystique!" Nicholas cried, tone raspy with fear - his throat had tightened, making breathing a clear effort. His dragon whirled around to locate the voice, and Nicholas began free-falling to what would be an unfortunate end to his unfortunate life filled with despair, lonliness, and death.
The Latias dove after immediately, disappearing into the clouds...
Five minutes later, she reappeared, the dirty red polo of her rider barely noticable as she zoomed past Blood Raven, a yard away.
If that bitch thought she was dead, she was sadly mistaken.
But that didn't matter; what did was that Nicholas remain limp and quiet. Blood Raven had to fall for their act - think him dead.
"Kiseki, Blood Raven - whoever you are! - please tell me where Keiichi is." The Dragon's voice was oddly sorrowful, something uncharacteristic for the Legendary. "He is the closest thing to Nick I have left - Nick would be happy if I helped him. I suppose he loes you, so helping you would be helping him - I know Nicholas would want to make his brother happy." A depressed sigh. "Tell me where Keiichi is so I can help you."
Now, time to see how well Mystique could act - all she needed to know was where that damned base of theirs was....

Rose slowly raised her head to look around once the ground stopped its violent shaking. Other than having a few hairs out of place she was fine, though she was a bit shaken up. “Stupid earthquake.” She muttered as she stood up. The Hero took another look around and the turned her attention back to Chance. “I’m going to see what caused that damned earthquake, you stay here alright?” And she ran away without hearing his reply.

Chance waited for Rose to disappear out of eye sight, and then slowly started to recover to his feet. "I can't stay down forever," Chance replied, looking around his surroundings. <I have a world to save as well!" Chance added, walking slowly in the direction of where the harsh earthquake waves were mainly coming from.

||Sarah, it would be best if you posted soon. I don’t know how far you can get from the battle though.||
Why were so many fleeing? Was this truly an effect of the Raven’s terror? Myuutsu was one of the last she expected to leave the scene of a battle. Perhaps the Chaos had instilled a new state of mind into the Psychic type. As Maira swooped down, the calamitous earthquake finally ceased. This allowed Yoake to levitate near the ground in order to try and dodge the attack. Blood Raven stepped off her dragon onto the semi-cracked earth quickly. Both pulled away from each other, but the chains on one Pokéball was ripped to shreds. Swords Dance and a high critical hit ratio attack didn’t prove useful if you were the target.
Her decoy had done enough damage. A swift command returned the Shuckle to its dark pokéball. Its original trainer wasn’t too far off from her, so the device was thrown to the scientist. This wasn’t enough. More Chaos had to ensue. Shuckle’s Earthquake was only the beginning to what the Elite had in store. Soft pattering caught the woman’s attention. So more victims would replace the ones lost. Very well. Blood Raven scoffed at the mere thought before returning her gaze to Mystique.
Nicholas merely passed out. If the legendary would think she would fall for a simple ruse such as that, the Latias must have been mistaken. The Houen native just had to continue vexing the YnK member. Blood Raven needed to devise a plan to rid the airplane-like creature before everything became too complicated. No one needed to hear of that man, especially not the Elite.
“I have no idea what you are speaking of,” Blood Raven replied in a hiss. “If you are searching for the whereabouts of the Pharaoh, I will honestly state that I do not have that information. You must acquire that information from another credible source.”

As the earthquakes had fallen to a simple wiggle of the ground Maira's bare feet contact the shattered ground, skillfully pushing herself up a bit allowing the fighter to easily regain to stance. It was only a short minisecond in which she had done just that. She turned around on her toes, eyes ferocious with the look only a slayer could have... Claws had become unimaginably sharp, the shining brown, rock hard talons digging into the rough and thick skinon her palms. The once gone luster had arose after that single Sword's Dance, the attack which had increased the woman's power by much. Now, with a regain confidence, everything was in slow motion- the Dragonair, the Yami no Kaze girl, and Shuckle. Like before... before, when she had a team to count on. " Damn you wretch!" Maira yelled angrily, her voice loud and stubborn, the frail whisper in the wind dissapearing. Heels digging into the ground, ready for the force which would be applyed to them, Maira got ready for another Slash attack. She studdied Blood Raven carefully, taking note of the pokémon she had on hand. They where strong.
Maira's talons brushed against the pokéballs on her belt briefly before she pulled them back. Blasted girl ahd dodged. Well, first come first...
She wanted the wretch's blood on her claws.
Grabbing a rock out from the ground, Maira ran swiftly towards Blood Raven. The stone was sharp, glowing with ground-type energy. Maira was attempting a Stone Edge as she tried to stab the bird of crimson water with the rock.

((Yeah, I’ll try and get my characters out of there now, but Dark sortof… complicates things a little.
Oh, and on the topic of there being so many ‘Ravens’ out there, I made a character named ‘Ravenessa’ who is part of Kirsten’s original storyline, named so in a similar way to Blood! Maybe I should try and make that into a fan fiction, but it is incredibly long…))
The teen stared in horror as the Latias zoomed out of the sandstorm, which was loosing momentum fast now, its trainer apparently in bad shape.
“Fiddlesticks! I thought they’d be high enough to be unaffected!” she frowned, contemplating her next move. There were a lot more people showing up now, from the looks of things, this trainer was well known in the region, and not in a good way. This theory was supposedly confirmed as the Blaziken PokeMorph leapt seemingly out of no where, out right attacking Blood Raven, rather then her Pokemon.
Their attacker was distracted by said PokeMorph and the Latias trainer, meaning right now would probably be the perfect time to make an escape: Pidgeot was still tired out from the last leg of their journey here, and Murakemi was in no condition to fight much longer. She looked down from the flying type to get a better look at its melted armour and sliced hide, but the other Pokemon’s attention was upwards.
“Hnu-wah!” Next thing she knew, she was sent flying as the steal type knocked her and Pidgeot off balance, sending them both sprawling across the rooftop. A crackling beam of blue and white energy passed over the spot where they had been before, hitting the legend squarely in the back and pinning it to the building under a line of ice. Murakemi clenched its teeth in anger at this, attempting to force itself upwards and break the solidified H2O, thus setting it free. But sheer brute strength proved to not be enough.
“Gah, Wing Attack!” Kirsten muttered as she got back onto her feet once again. A flash as Pidgeot’s wings charged with energy and a shattering of frozen splinters was all she knew next, before she was once again upon the bird, launching themselves off the rooftop, with Murakemi following suit to land with a crunch of gears and gas, before running off towards the windswept coast and grasslands beyond the entrance to the town. It took no head of Rose and Chance as it zipped past them.
The trainer grumbled, looking back at the ongoing battle until it was obscured by buildings. It made her feel like dirt leaving the Latias and trainer behind to fend for themselves, as they had technically saved her butt, but this was all they could do for now, at least until they learnt just what was going on, and exactly why they were here.
(By the way, when the sandstorm settles, which should be soon, there’ll be a big hole in the sundered ground which Steelix fled through xD)

((*poof* If I remember correctly, I am to tell you which side my characters are, yes? Hnn...we're neutral.))
{We're lost.}
{We are not lost, my friend; merely...}
{Lost.}
{I hate you.}
With a too-audible groan, a tall-for-her-species Psychic looked up at her companion, wincing as the sun caused bright dots to appear in her blood red eyes. The girl she looked up at was slight and pale, and seemed rather at home in the ghostly town of Lavender, her mouth forming silent words as she communicated with her dear friend. Though to most the girl was completely mute - a result of her past dealings with evil syndicates not unlike the one the Kibou no Senshi was fighting, though this one was sufficiently stupid enough to let many human children (and one teenager) loose on the streets of Lilycove - those that called themselves psychic could hear her small voice in their minds.
Telepathy; such a wonderful thing. And yet the graceful figure that led the girl through Lavender Town, and indeed intended on getting her through Kanto before returning to her sisters (who had not seen the silent teenager for eight long years), was really beginning to hate it. Growling curses to the girl under her breath, she silently ordered the girl to stay put, before stepping out of the shadow of one of the ruined buildings, to find herself facing what could honestly be described as a bloodbath.
{Shit.}
{What is it?}
{It's- It's- Oh, forget it; come see for yourself.}
The malnourished teenager gave no sign that she heard her friend, simply stepping out beside the diminuitive psychic creature she cared so much for. Indeed, her cursing had been appropriate, if the stances of the two battlers were anything to go by. In a world falling into despair and ruin, it would appear Lavender was not the refuge for the dead it once was. Shaking her head sadly, the teenager sidestepped debris and found a small, withering tree to shield her body with, curling up behind it; it wasn't much, but there was still a chance they might ignore her. The one witht he talons was strangely familiar to the girl, and if the shudder that ran down the little experiment's spine was anything to go on, the woman was best avoided. She was followed by a cyan shimmer; her friend, loud for two to compensate her friend's muteness, had put up a Protect, cyan in honour of something the girl could not remember.
{Aren't Protects generally green?}
{Less talking, more hiding...Nodoka Roketo.}
{Whatever you say...Venia Brown.}
Eight years of travelling together, and the companions found new ways to get on each other's nerves every day, with yesterday's insults losing their venom. However, the use of their full names (or, in the case of Venia, her own nickname and the surname of her former trainer) still stung, badly, for both of them missed their families more than they would let anyone know. "Teh..." Jerald caught the dark pokeball in his mouth, the eevee's silver eyes glared down as the Sandstorm started to subside. With a few more struggled flaps to keep aloft, XV016 jumped off his back down. Chaos started leaking out again, the experiment's fur changed, almost to the normal brown color of an Eevee, but a bit darker. Long claws, Absol-like, grew from the paws. Hitting the ground, he burrowed at amazing speed, keeping an eye on the escapee.
Back up in the air, Jerald spit the dark pokeball to the side of him, a Spiritomb materialized and caught the device. "XWG442, bring the rest." Jerald said to the ghost as the pokemon left. Shaking a few beads of sweat off his fur, Jerald turned back to the ground. Seemed like Blood Raven was on another one of those...'arguments'.
(Reminds me to explain WHAT XV016 is...Experimental Eevee to shift between the 17 type elements at will. Otherwise known as, Absolute Offense. XWG442 is known as Absolute Defense. NOTE: IT IS POSSIBLE TO BEAT THEM.)

Chance finally appeared in the middle of the battle scene, looking around feeling a little confused and lost. Soon enough Chance was knocked back from the force of the large bird's wind, as it passed by him swiftly. "Excuse you!" Chance shouted back, still holding his injured arm. "I have to him them out some how," Chance added, regaining his strenght once again, but this time fairly slowly. OhohSi: Eww, short post

{=3} If there was one thing that the female legend from the region of Hoenn did not do, it was lose her cool. She always remained unnervingly calm and insults were strangers to her. This situation was no different for the red-and-white creature, who simply stared with a chillingly joyful (such a smile wasn't supposed to exist around Blood Raven, didn't she know?!) smiile back at the Elite. They were enemies (anyone who looked at Blood Raven while around Mystique knew that, even if Mystique was a little more careful with concealing most of her emotions), and it was just damn scary to see the Latias smiling that, enjoyed by the situation.
And then she giggled, her jovial laughter sounding like bells ringing lightly.
"Don't be so silly, Blood Raven! Didn't your Chaos mommy or daddy ever teach that lying is bad?" replied the Latias, bright eyes glittering with the mocking amusement she had let escape her. Blood Raven had to know where Keiichi was - or they had to have some kind of evil base that you saw in those scary movies. "What kind of villain are you if you have no secret base or if you don't know where your partner-in-crime is? Tsk... tsk... tsk...." Feeling Nicholas tense slightly above her, the Dragon flew backwards, still holding eye contact with Blood Raven.
<Yoake?> inquired the Latias after a moment, although her gaze remained locked on Blood Raven. The Dragon's lips twitched as she glanced at the dragon, wanting badly to frown but resisting before looking at Blood Raven once more. <Why are you obeying her, my old friend?> Mentally, Mystique sighed, wondering when exactly life became so complicated.

||Well, Ari said to go on without her until she gets back from a road trip. -hurries off to delete ooc-||
“Damn you, wretch!” The uproar caused the Elite to whip around, only to be abruptly met with a Stone Edge. The jagged edge of the rock struck her left arm. As Blood Raven attempted to escape, the stone dragged down her bicep, blood trailing in its wake. Gold flickered to harsh amber when the Elite finally broke away from the enraged…. Human. Her hand didn’t immediately rush to her left side as it should have. Blood Raven merely slouched a bit, now a few yards away from Maira. She straightened herself up, casually wiping the caking blood off of her arm. There was no wince, no confirmation of any physical pane evident on her countenance.
Maira had gotten her wish, but at a steep price.
Yoake hurried over to her trainer, cerulean eyes shining with sympathy. Although Blood Raven would not accept, that didn’t mean that the silver mystical beast could offer. Her snake-like body seemed to wrap around the female loosely, as a foot or so was the space between the central point, Blood Raven, and the diameter of the dragon’s body. ~This is my Master,~ the pokémon whispered telepathically. ~There is nothing I can do. However, if you harm her, I will be forced to retaliate.~ She shook her head, the imprint of a collar glaring on her neck. The scales were a pale color compared to the rest of her shimmering form.
The Elite didn’t take the Latias’s words to heart. To tell the truth, she really didn’t know where the Pharaoh was. He was quite the rurouni… Sometimes he’d be at the YnK HQ, others the man would be found wandering around Kanto. After all, it WAS his homeland. Amber irises merely observed as Yoake wrapped around her figure.
The dragon was truly an idiot. Yoake’s original trainer would not return.

“ Oh, she may be your trainer-” Maira began, her angered voice echoing along the battle field. Her crimson and peacock blue gaze swept around her, eyes locking with Yoake’s own protective gaze. “-but she is my enemy!” With that Maira ran along side a wall, the sharp stone held tightly in her talons, ready to pounce at Yoake and send the dangerous piece of rock through the creature’s snake-esque skin, and maybe even through the damned thing’s chest. Her malicious gaze was pinned onto Yoake and Maira grasped the stone even harder in her grip...
Whoosh...
The once trainer’s swoop was suddenly cut short, if not stopped before it had even started, when a throwing needle swam through the tense atmosphere, pinning Maira’s sleeve of rags to the wall. The pokémorph started, uncertain of what had happened for a moment. Her eyes had quickly switched back to the more commonly seen dull shades of red and blue, the rock falling from her hold and hitting the ground with a lifeless ‘thump’.
The item just in front of her face, dangerously in front of her nose, was a black throwing needle. It was long and sharp indicated by the way it had shoot through Maira’s sleeve and dug into the wall, pinning her there like a small, helpless spot of prey. Although it wasn’t only the power forged within the throwing needle that seemed startling. Attached to the metal weapon was a sheet of parchment with strange lines scribbling onto it in a strange sort of language Maira vaguely remembered. However what was really startling- and possibly most meaningless [to most]- was the strange object which had been attached to the end of the throwing needle. A flower, large and flourished, had been placed by sending it right through the sharp needle, its ebony black petals blurred in Maira’s tedious vision. How long had it been since she had seen the blue form of the rose? Eight long years... Finally she remembered what the kanji written on the paper attached to the needle meant...
“Fire Bomb Seal!” Maira yelled, loudly, attempting to run away from the dangerous spell and weapon fusion. However, when she flinched as the needle barely missed the flesh on her nose, she had lost all the time she had to dodge. The paper exploded which was not a surprise- it is a bomb; a ball of scarlet flames developing and expanding where the seal had been. Maira, who had screamed, was blown away from the sudden blast, the fire bomb growing to more then three meters long in a scant five seconds. It grew until it reached nearly fifteen meters before collapsing and letting the embers disappear into the wind. The once trainer was now slumped in front of a wall, looking at the air frantically, fearing the worst. She clutched the two pokéballs only to remember that she had been attack by what had once inhabited these same spheres.
.there is nothing.
{Aw man, Maira’s too weak!} The annoyed pokémon commented, crossing her arms over her feathery chest. The creature’s quite monotonous pink gaze swept across the area which the fire bomb had swathed, gaze fastened to the twenty-five-year-old’s strangely unburned, but obviously damaged, limp form. The humanoid creature blew a few dirty white- had not it been for the incessant rampaging through Regions- feathers out of her vision as her mane had grown over the years. {Can’t even stand up to her own element! Hey... what are you doing?} Leaning her crimson plumed bodice of the thinner creature, Fire-Bird shrugged it off and looked back at the catastrophe which Lavender Town was.
Although many years- eight years- had already passed time did little to change her appearance. Even the kind who seriously couldn’t care less about how she looked the strange coloured blaziken’s feathers where stained with blood and ashes and various other things from previous battles. The crest on her mask-like face was sharp and long giving her and extra edge in battles, able to stab her enemy’s throat and allow them to suffocate, a deadly weapon from before and after the Rouge. The khaki skin which started from her crimson feathered elbows towards her hands was rough and hard, scratched from the forces of too many conflicts to count, and ending in talons of three fingers, each finger with a single, sharp, old lace hued knives.
{Move it, I can’t see my target...s,} Fire-Bird’s ally hissed, pushing the humanoid bird’s red and orange legs aside. Sending a monotonous, faded cyan glare up towards the taller, more powerful creature, the psychic turned back to his throwing needles. {The woman there?}
{Who, Maira? Yeah, there. But I think she’s dead. A few more faces. Vaguely familiar,} Fire-Bird answered, picking up one of the Gardevoir’s throwing needles. Psychic-Dream glared and quickly grabbed the dangerous item away, commenting how Fire-Bird could kill herself with one of those for being such and idiot.
Although certainly lacking the physical strength of the fighting-type, Psy had a much stranger power- all forms of telekinesis. A strange one he was form evolving into a Gardevoir instead of the usually Gallade most of the male Kirlia evolved into...
{Well, might as well get this over with,} Voice dark and rather secretive the Embrace Pokémon stood up, magnolia gown sweeping against the ground. The under side of the gown- a Maya blue hue- could not be seen by most of the people across the few rows of buildings and alley ways, same was the pair of thin legs. The Gardevoir grunted, wondering what the best strategy would be. Surprise attack of stay with the long range blows? Such hard decisions had to be made quickly in a battle...
{You look like a girl!} Fire-Bird commented loudly, her loud voice heard all the way towards the battle field. Whipping his head around to glare at the fire/fighting-type, azure ‘hair’ at most people called it (which was quite accurate. It was hair but modified through natural evolution so the locks would stick together like how wet hair freezes) following his veering head. With a frown the psychic turned back to his scheming only to sigh, an emotionless sigh.
{I don’t know what type of attack to use. In any case must we kill everybody?} Psychic-Dream questioned, strangely unexciting, discoloured cyan irises glancing at his ally, waiting for a question.
There was a pause...
{Yes. Kill them... all,} Fire-Bird’s statement made, the Gardevoir nodded, and threw a few more throwing needles at everybody in sight, one for each person, throwing needles still with the fake, charcoal black roses and the Fire Bomb Seals...
.life had turned..into a meaningless void..rouges..rouges..their only purpose..to kill..to kill.[/ul]

{Did you hear that, Venia?}
The thin form of the teenager shifted uneasily, as the girl listened to what she thought was a voice in her mind. To most, this would be a sign of madness, but as telepathy was her only means of communication, Nodoka had learned as a child - eight years old, to be exact - that listening to these voices could prove extremely useful. Closing her dark eyes, she folded bony hands into prayer position against her chest, concentrating on the whispers at the edge of her conciousness. It was male - that she was certain of - and for some reason, it felt a little familiar. Like she had heard it once before, back in happier times (a contradiction in terms; her whole life was tragedy in motion, full of grief and loss). Trying to locate the source of the mysterious voice, the girl did not see the graceful figure of her friend stiffen, did not notice as her fellow psychic crouched, eyes flashing dangerously. And she certainly didn't see that, as two ebony roses sailed through the air towards the girl, the figure closed her eyes as well, forming a protective cyan bubble around both females.
The psychic had not been listening to the telepathic voice her friend had picked up on. Maybe if she had, she wouldn't have done what she did. However, hindsight was something Venia chose not to dwell on, so in the split second between the two missiles leaving Psychic-Thought's grip and her shield growing to cover both herself and the frail body of her friend, the emotional creature gazed squarely at the twin needles, willing them to return to their sender - and while one sailed onward, blossoming into a flaming flower against her shield, the other glowed a bright cyan, and stopped in its path, slowly starting to turn in midair. Heart racing, the psychic urged the needle onwards, but the strain of keeping the Protect up coupled with the fact Nodoka was making a nuisance of herself as she attempted to remember the name of the voice she had heard meant that the missile only got a short distance before tumbling towards the place where the two rogues stood.
{Ugh...forget the nostalgia and help me keep up this shield!} she growled psychically. When she recieved no response from the girl, she added urgently, {I need to attack, and I can't hold a shield this big at the same time!}
Indeed, the impentrable dome that covered the two psychics was starting to flicker, as though it was a mirage, and the colour dimmed, fading rapidly.
