"You're wrong." The words were crystal clear, spoken with a sharp (almost tangible) edge. The psychic energy licked around at body, every so often growing larger before quickly shrinking back. Her anger was not only visible on her face, but her energy... Jerald was lucky there were witnesses. "Just because you're a scientist doesn't mean you know everything; be a little more empathetic, old man." Even as her rider stirred, the Latias stared at the scientist, usual smile gone; the glare she gave seemed even more ferocious considering it was such a rare sight to see.
It was another minute before he felt the need to actually sit up. His thoughts had been sifted, separating the good from the bad and then tossing the bad to the side to brood over at a later date. When he was ready to speak civilly again, he shifted slightly — he remained slung across the legend's back, long arms and legs draping over the white-and-red steed's body. His breathes were deep, calming and he almost sat up but the sound of another approaching made him delay the action.
“I’m sorry I almost hit you there, uncle. I didn’t mean for the arrow to fly so close.” The aqua eyes opened slightly, only half-open; from what you could see, you could tell he was sad, although he was not frowning just yet. “Please, calm down? You’re scaring more people than just me.” 'I'm scaring myself... Can they really still get to me?' Slowly, his right arm reached out towards her before his long fingers met the top of her head. From there, he began to stroke her hair, trying to calm her as if she were as young as she had been all those years ago... "I'm sorry, Nai." 'Sorry I scare you... Sorry I'm a bad uncle... Sorry I hate Keiichi....' / Don't be sorry, Nicholas... / He felt like he should say more, but fell silent, closing his eyes for a moment before remembering that Jerald had spoken to him.
His bright eyes opened once more, arms moving to push him up so he was in a sitting position. "No... But..." A pause, glancing at his family. "I like being an Arcanine." It made him feel strong, even if it did remind him of his weakness as a child at the same time. It reminded him of his fight with Keiichi in the Seafoam Islands, of the pain it had caused him... It may sound weird, but a part of him didn't want to forget that pain. It was too familiar... It would be weird without it.
Finished with that, the man glanced back at his niece. "Keiichi's... sick?" Suddenly he knew why the sudden anger had rushed forward. Keiichi couldn't leave; they barely knew each other.

"Good job, Shourai." "You've trained her well... She's even more skilled than when I had her." Akari grinned at this before turning around to face her sister, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I believe we have a common enemy, Duchess of Shamouti — shall we form an alliance and fight for the side of good?" She was back to her silly antics, acting like some princess, kunai in hand.
"Patience, Akari... Your uncle has fallen, they might try and get Rain if we aren't cordial." He rolled his eyes. "A tiger doesn't change its stripes, otherwise we wouldn't have to deal with him." He jabbed a thumb in Nicholas's direction before falling silent, smirking at the girl as if he had just said "checkmate."

"Oh my, is that so, Princess of Shamouti?"
Her head tilted to the left, eyes having the same glint as her sister -- only a tad darker in caution. Tone smooth, Akemi gave her twin a smirk. "I accept your offer. Do we need our loyal companions, or not?" Here she snickered, before her eyebrows gave the slightest flinch in interest of their mother being taken away. Oh, if that happened, they were going to hurt somebody. Badly. Along with her father. "Mother..." "I am not useless as my sister." The female muttered, but her eyes swam with uneasiness -- so Jerald still had some ... "tricks" up his sleeves? Of course. She herself hid weapons against her thighs... Sighing, she glanced towards Ryuu. {Him being sick... It doesn't sound safe.} Akemi slightly tensed as Naiomi kneeled besides their uncle, but the girl's focus was on the strange scientist. Her mother's body had gone rigid at the sight of the vials... And she came to the conclusion of really, really hating the old man. --- "Are you okay?" She asked softly, eyes full of worry. Nami shook her head, heart still pounding. Holly had tentatively stepped near her father, her eyes the same. "Dad... seriously.. Are you?"

The woman stopped laughing the instant Jerald spoke. Oh yes, she remembered that, back when Doc’ Crazy had gone around and shot his needles at her and her friends. A scowl appeared on her face as she considered his words. Does that mean he actually has the reversal serum? She wondered. Had he asked the question back when the war was still going on she would have said yes right away, but now she was used to her powers, and you had to admit they did come in handy… “Mami?” Her son asked, pulling his Rose out of her thoughts. The pokemorph gave her son a smile before turning to Jerald, a smirk on her face. “No thank you, I quite like being able to predict when the next tidal wave or such will happen.” She replied politely, sounding nothing like Rose and more like someone else. In fifteen years a lot changes, but not as much as people expect.

Jerald couldn't help but grin as the two Heroes gave their answer. He wanted to expect an answer from Rain and Nami as well but seeing how as one was afraid of the vials while the other was concerned with Nick, he placed the vial back into its little compartment. 'Told you would find it to be a good thing...' he thought to himself before he spoke up. "That's good...Because I can't reverse the entire process without causing some mutation. At best...maybe 99%." He said, laying across the roof; his legs still dangling off the side. It was like times when one lies on the top of the hill and stared up into the clouds. 'I wonder why I came here...' he thought as he closed his eyes. He wasn't exactly liked by anyone from the Wars, even with what he did during the final scene. Old hatred stays long and hard through life. He began to doze off before his mind registered what was going on below him. Keiichi sick in his death bed? That was going to be troublesome if he does pass on.
Tyreal had made a sigh of relief as everything had started to calm down between everyone and the scientist. Tensions were still high but at least it wouldn't end up with explosions and sprawled heads. The priest looked up when Naiomi mentioned the sickness. Azure glanced over at her husband with a look that said 'Well?' The priest shook his head at her. He was a priest, not a miracle worker. Ok so he did bring someone back to life, purify Rogues during the wars, healed and mended the broken...But there was NO reason for him to be curing sick people...unless someone had to convince him to.

ooc;; oh, I was drawing like TONS of pictures this weekend because I had no internet (got all your pics done, but I can't use the scanner yet Nick and Blake are so freaking CUTE though ) and I drew Maya with cat ears..and it was totally cute. It convinced me to make her a morph x) sooo...now she's got Skitty in her..the reason why I've yet to figure out...
bic;;
With much appreciated help, Alexis and her family were transported back to solid ground. Alexis let out a large sigh of relief, dusting off the yellow dress that hugged her slim frame. Rai staggered for a bit, one arm rested on his head as he attempted to regain his strength. Maya was still clung to Charizard, his body shaking long after he had departed the pit. The constant wiggle of his giant body caused the ten year old to lose her grip, and she toppled to the ground.
"You big sissy, its just dirt!" Maya said with a scowl, rubbing her side as she stood back up. Plucking a pokeball from her hip, she returned the Corsola to its pokeball and proceaded to stand next to her mother.
Alexis then heard only the jist of Jerald's words, but what he said made her snap to reality. Did he really have some reverse serum? An even bigger question was whether Alexis wanted to change back at all. Being part Charizard had become a part of her for so many years. It just seemed natural now. Though her powers still weren't quite under control, and the constant mood swings were somthing Rai would deffinantly love to live without, Alexis still wasn't sure. The thought made her glance towards her daughter, eyes locking on the small traingular shapes on each side of her beanie. Maya wasn't completely fond of her cat-like ears, and it was why she opted to wearing her hat over them when she met new people. Usually they poked out from the top through two holes Rai had cut out. Cute as it was, Alexis always wondered how Maya had come to have them.

You could tell she was surprised by the action. The small ‘eep’ which escaped the young girl made that clear. It was comfortable to know that there was at least one person who wasn’t out for her skin. (Not to mention those twins…) Naiomi sighed herself, choosing to be the mature one in such a situation. Her family already had enemies, and she wasn’t out to make more. If those two girls wanted a fight though, Naiomi would surely give it to them – in a Pokémon battle.
Either way, that was beyond the point. What mattered now was the being of her uncle. She smiled at the pat and apology. Insane people didn’t apologize. The teenager knelt in silence as the talk of the Morphs persisted. Since she was a ‘normal’ child, she couldn’t imagine what it was like for those people who indeed had Pokémon DNA integrated into their being. Naiomi’s studies told her that Arcanine were loyal, sometimes ill-tempered creatures. Perhaps uncle Nicholas wanted to proceed through life with that bad temper in exchange for the power he received.
Who knows what would have happened when the two first met if the Arcanine DNA was absent. Naiomi shivered at the mere thought of all of those angry trainers.
“Unfortunately, my father is indeed ill,” Naiomi started slowly. She pushed herself off the grass, straightening out her skirt a bit. The yumi still stood tall next to her. Her voice suddenly dropped in pitch. “Father wanted to say something to you all, but I don’t have information on the exact situation he was going to explain. He got sick only a few days ago. Mother and I don’t know what to do anymore.” Amber sparkled slightly in the afternoon sun. There was no way in hell she would break down in front of THESE frea—people.

(This is just an idea of mine that's subject to change: The kids will be like, "Adventure time!" And they all go off out of Pallet. The parents are doing whatever but they don't know that the kids left the town. Kids find a cave that appeared from nowhere, go inside. Pop out in some random field. A rift in space causes time to break and sends them back. Then one of the parents (most likely one of my characters) will find out their missing and then stuff happens. That's the just of it. Edit: I don't know if everyone wants the kids to appear in the same area or that they should be separated and need to find each other.)

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me..." Slowly, one pale hand reached out to touch first is son's forehead and then his daughter's. He was about to reach out for Nami, just to know she was there for him, but his canine ears (they still remained, along with a set of too-sharp-to-be-normal teeth) flickered backwards with unease, light eyes looking away from Nami and towards Naiomi. For a moment, he was simply silent, staring at the girl as if he could actually detect a lie. He was still as gullible — as innocent — as he had once been. Moments later, that hopeful expression flickered and then disappeared completely, leaving the man to stare at his neice with remorse. "But... If you and Kiseki don't know what to do and he can't talk to us..." The man (although he seemed so fragile and childish) winced, took in a shuddering breath, and said in a whisper, "Does that mean he's dying?" Quickly, he looked back at Nami, eyes wide before forcing themselves shut; he didn't want them to see him cry.

+ As you all probably guessed, Rain && Akemi come when Ryuu && Akari come. <3 owo +
Her eyes softened at Nicholas, her eternal love -- and wasn't surprised when she noted his reactions. Of course he cared about his brother -- he was the only existence that actually proved that he was actually meant to be in this world; the only one who let him know his family wasn't completely dead. He even had his genes passed down to the two children in front of them, Holly wrapping an arm around Blake's shoulder. She sighed with mixed emotions, before stepping silently up to him, and kneeled until her fair face was inches from his, cold breath skimming across his cheeks as she sighed again. Nami's eyes were red but deeply concerned, one hand coming to his cheek. And even though Nami and Rain had a huge rift between them; they certainly had moments where they thought the same thoughts because they were bound by something called 'being sisters'.
Their same thoughts echoed in their own minds.
I doubt he's the type to be beat by a mere illness.'

It was going to happen somehow, might as well make it sooner. Tyreal stepped away from the group and stood beside Naiomi. Turning back to everyone, he tapped the back of his neck with the top of his staff before speaking. "I guess we might as well see him. He shouldn't be THAT bad..." There it was...the priest knew someone was going to beg him to cure Keiichi if it was really serious, most likely Nick. It wasn't that he was eager to meet up with the ex-leader, it was so that the passer-bys would stop glancing at the group. His mind began to drift again but there was no real contact. He did touch upon what the Light said to him a while back. 'Worse then Chaos...What could it be...' he thought to himself before looking up into the sky.
(How are we going to get the kids to all go together off somewhere?)

||Blood, I have no clue. XD|| “That’s the dilemma,” Naiomi commented, regaining her composure. As she stated to them before, even she didn’t know what to think. Or perhaps… Just maybe she refused to accept the truth. Who would want to accept that their father was dying, anyway? The now-teenager sighed softly and twirled a lock of hair around her finger as she pondered. What if Keiichi was really dying? What would she do then? She and mother could take care of themselves, but father was their pillar of support – both physical and emotional. If he crumbled, they’d have no one to fully turn to. Mother would definitely break down and so would Naiomi herself. The Sakurai child heard a distant creak and snapped her head toward the humble doors of her home. Amber widened considerably at the person standing in the doorway. It was Keiichi. The man stood straight, not looking at all like he was ill. However, his steps were slightly unsure. All the regal air and darkened aura still surrounded his slightly-aged figure. Keiichi almost didn’t look any different from before exempting the honed muscles, tanner figure (though you wouldn’t be able to tell due to the sickness), and a few more inches of height. His clothes’ colors weren’t too different from those of the days of Chaos. A dark gray button down shirt had two buttons unfastened from the top. This hung over black cotton (like Yuugi’s school uniform) pants. The long jet black strands still hung over the man’s shoulders, but in the absence of the infamous crown, gained a smooth texture. You could see evidence of a bandage wrapping around the male’s forehead. Yet, the blaring white was obscured by many pieces of hair. Keiichi was known for those piercing crimson eyes. Those hadn’t changed at all. As the former YnK leader strode forward, the impact of his calm stare seemed to intensify. Naiomi, barely, averted her gaze for a split second to see her father grip one of the posts tightly before letting go immediately. He probably couldn’t afford to look weak in front of these people. Keiichi still had a reputation, did he not? A nod to each person he knew came next. Naiomi stole a glance at her uncle to see his reaction. The two men never really got along; the girl was surprised when Nicholas partially forgave his brother. After all the elder had done while under the Chaos’s control… Naiomi couldn’t believe anyone could forgive the Pharaoh, no matter how petty it was. The eight years of Chaos would never be fully erased from everyone’s lives. The havoc and history that was made during those times would be remembered, like it or not. Crimson came to rest on Naiomi’s uncle and his family last. Keiichi looked pressed to comment at the boy’s condition. No sound was made, and the expression faded away. He took a few steps forward only to suddenly stumble. Keiichi’s eyes slightly widened as he found himself almost at his knees. That was when pale arms intervened and broke the man’s fall. “You shouldn’t be out of bed, Keiichi-kun.” Kiseki wore her trademark outfit: a kimono. This one in particular was a soft gray with subtle pink sakura blossoms scattered as if the wind had picked them up. A platinum silver obi wrapped around her midsection. The woman slung Keiichi’s right arm around her shoulders and helped him stand once again. He held grateful eyes for his partner, and Kiseki returned the gesture with a small smile of her own. Both didn’t particularly care, though, when Naiomi nearly tackled her father down. Keiichi pat the girl on the head, albeit like Nicholas, and then turned to Kiseki. “I don’t think I need to explicate the fact that Keiichi-kun is glad you all were able to make it… with your families, nonetheless! I’m glad you all got here in one piece as well.”

You know Ryuu's rants are epic. ;3
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The cold breath was relaxing, but Nicholas seemed to freeze, eyes widening with surprise. His breath caught in his throat, temporarily dazzled that Nami was so close. Even after all this time, he wasn't accustomed to the loving gestures she gave him. It still felt like he didn't deserve her, like he was just some foolish child with petty grudges — if holding a grudge on someone for killing your whole family could was petty, that is.
Suddenly, his mind sped up. A petty grudge... He had always been different from them all, and now he realized why he still felt so immature compared to them; so different. While they laughed and smiled, exchanged mocking threats, he sat and hoped; hoped he was really stuck in a cross between a nightmare and a dream. He felt so different from Nami because he was different. He was making his whole family worry because he was so selfish...
He sighed, about to apologize before the creak of wood (like on an old stairway, w/evs) made the vibrant ears flicker. His head didn't turn, because Mystique wheeled around to stare at the figure. Golden eyes were wide while Nick's seemed so dull, so melancholy. He didn't want to see Keiichi, even if it was selfish and ridiculous. It hurt to see him, that long black hair and those long, lean muscles. What you'll never be, a voice in his head jeered and Nicholas bowed his head in defeat. Keiichi was a reminder of all he had lost — couldn't Keiichi see he was happier living with just Nami and his children, along with the occasional visits from Ryuu and Co.?
But at the stumble, something stirred within the boy. "KEIICHI!" he cried out, reaching out towards the man although he was too far away to help any. Already, purple energy was licking around Mystique, ready to catch the man upon Nicholas' command; but Kiseki came to the rescue and the Arcanine ears flickered back sheepishly, cream-hued face tinted pink.
He almost contradicted Kiseki's words, but didn't. 'I'm not gonna be selfish...' And yet, in a whisper, Nicholas dared ask, "Are you... d-d... hurt?" With Keiichi there, looking so pale (almost making them look like they were actually related, but not really), Nicholas couldn't say it. His throat had closed too much with sorrow that even a syllable seemed impossible, and two was nonsense to think about.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
He couldn't stop that anger that flowed through him at the sight of that face. Azami's face — first that one with that wretched black color with those oddly narrowed eyes and those blonde locks and then the 'sleeping' Azami with a paler face than usual and her closed sapphire eyes hidden by dark violet hair — rushed through his head, then his parents, then the faces of those students... And then there was that memory of him laying on the ground, twitching and helpless, just before he had decided to travel the world and kick ass... And then of Nicholas staring at him all those years ago, gaze like a zombie... And then Rain, biting him in the shoulder and then their first kiss....
It all hit him like a semi-truck and Ryuu was partially over-whelmed. But then his pale hands clenched into fists and he snapped, "You bastard! You expect us to come here all smiles after ruining most of our lives? Half of us have no family because of YOU and you don't even have that heart to apologize? Your own BROTHER is sitting there miserable because of YOU! And then Rose is an ugly freak, Rain and Nami hate each other... Blondie over there seems half miserable too and the only ones that aren't too sad is Mr. Holy, that bastard scientist, and YOU! Do you have anything to say now, or are you going to sit there waiting until I finally decide to kill you?!"

They all stiffened. Even Akemi seemed to tense as she stared at Keiichi, dark eyes unreadable. But her pale face seemed to be paler than usual. Rain's face was even as she glanced towards the 'ill' man, before her eyebrows lifted at Ryuu's sudden outburst.
"Ryuu, stop!" Rain snapped in a sharp, scolding tone, stepping forward. Her hands hesitated before grabbing one of his fists, grip trembling.
"Rain and Nami hate each other... "
The words echoed in her mind, causing her nervous eyes to narrow, her head immediately snapping up to glare towards her sister. Nami seemed to feel the intense gaze, and she flinched. The blue-haired girl stood and looked away from the group, face blank. Rain's gaze slowly returned to the one she loved, trying to gain his fierce eyes' attention. {Ryuu...} She coaxed, voice soft and liquid-like in his mind. {Please.} She pleaded once, before her fingers' trembles ceasing at his warmth. Rain put one hand to his chest, in case he resorted to violence.. which meant her daughters would follow instinctively, and chaos would ensue. Minor chaos.

ooc: I'm with Harli. They could try and show off how brave they are by daring each other to go in the cave or something like that.
*** And finally the Pharaoh appears. Rose thought as the former leader stepped forward. He looked better than she thought he would, what with everyone talking about how sick he was, though, maybe it affected his head; after all, he had been stupid enough to call all of them here. And then can Zubat-girl, or rather, Kiseki. The women Rose used to call Zubat-girl had died and the chaos had died with her, thank god. But even knowing this, Rose couldn’t help but feel a little bit resentful, so when Ryuu’s rant came, the women was surprised to find that she agreed with him. He could have left out the ugly freak part of course, but she still agreed with what he was saying. Keiichi could have stopped it, he could have ended the chaos before it even started, and yet it took eight freaking years to make him see the truth, and by that time the world was nearly destroyed. You can’t change the past. A voice in the back of her head told her in the utmost tone of reason. You can only look toward the future and hope for the best. On how helpful, Rose snapped back, suddenly making a decision. If Ryuu tried to kill the Pharaoh, she was just going to walk away and act like nothing happened.

(Ok, let's get everyone inside except the kids.)
"Ryuu...it's not helping anyone if you keep with these outbursts. If you must do that, at least have the decency to do it inside where we're secluded. We don't want to be thrown out of Pallet." Tyreal flashed a glare at the green haired trainer before he calmed and closed his eyes. "Keiichi must have his reasons...We should all have our little 'Conversation'." He doubted that any of the children would want to be listening to the stories of the past and dropped the hint that they should go do something together.
Jerald muttered something as he sat up. He had dozed off while sunning on the roof but reawoke when Ryuu had his little rant. Mera yawned and stretched her body before shaking some dust off her fur.

Vibrant crimson eyes looked tiredly at their kin, a tint of a smile coating Keiichi’s lips. After all these years, Nicholas still proved to be a young insecure individual. He was still family, and the former YnK leader was surprised Nick decided to keep those bonds alive, no matter how little. Keiichi’s solemn gaze stated he had no permanent injury sustained.
However, at the rant of Ryuu, the Pharaoh shook his head. He glanced over everyone there again. He regained movement of his left hand and moved it from his daughter’s head to her shoulder. Naiomi looked up with curious eyes, and her father’s told her all she needed to know. The young girl opened her mouth to comment, but at Keiichi’s slight glare, she decided to keep her mouth shut.
“Hai, Otou-san. I’ll watch over the kiddies.” Her father nodded his assent before pushing away from Kiseki. He turned his back to the crowd and moved his head so only his eyes were visible. Keiichi gestured to the house with a shrug of one shoulder and began to walk back himself. That one stumble wouldn’t show him up. He’d prove he was stronger than he’d let up. Both females of the family sighed, knowing the male’s pride was huge.
Kiseki turned to the others with a hasty bow. “It’d be best if we took this conversation elsewhere. The children shouldn't hear the extents of this… I advise you send them off to explore Pallet Town or something of the sort. I’m sorry to say that they’re not my responsibility. Naiomi would be fine showing them around, aren’t you?”
Naiomi nodded even though there were a few that she knew didn’t like her. (Influential parents, much.) She didn’t particularly mind though. She wasn’t the type to hold grudges or have words affect her personality. The thirteen-year-old laid her yumi back against the fence before pulling out a much smaller bow.
