Why not do a crazy dance?
If you lose a moment, you might lose a lot
So why not?"

Sandslash: Sandslash was Katty's first Pokémon. He was caught as a Sandshrew on Route 9 when Katty was receiving some pointers from a Cerulean local. The more experienced trainer may have used his Pokémon to weaken Sandshrew, but it was a Pokéball that Katty had previously bought that caught the Pokémon. As a Sandshrew, he was nearly the opposite of his specie's description. Rather than shy and timid, he was curious, somewhat mischievous, and fiercely competitive. In the beginning, the only reason he battled for Katty was because his pride would not allow him to lose. As time went on, Sandshrew eventually warmed up to Katty, though it was often difficult to tell who was trainer and who was being trained in their relationship. It was not long until Sandshrew evolved into Sandslash, since that evolution line progresses a bit more rapidly than other Pokémon and Sandshrew was just a good battler. As Sandslash, that quirky personality was still there, but the Pokémon had mellowed out slightly. Sandslash is Katty's good partner and she treasures him as though he were one of the Starters found in Professors' Labs.
Abra: Abra was Katty's second Pokémon, caught on Route 5. After taking Sandshrew to Cerulean City's Pokemon Center in the aftermath of capturing him, they both set out to explore Kanto further. They happened upon Abra and Katty simply caught it with a Pokéball. A battle really was not needed. As discovered on that day, Abra is very passive. When he is not sleeping (which is rare), he normally finds a way to get out of battle. His teleporting ability comes quite in handy when Katty finds herself in difficult spots. Since that is his only natural ablility, Katty equipped him with a couple of TMs she was able to scrape up the money for, just in case he ever did become her last usable Pokémon. Even after this, Abra has refused to evolve for reasons unknown. Abra seems to have a particular liking to rolling onto anyone nearby while sleeping. Katty looks at this as being a great cuddle buddy, but the other Pokémon get a bit miffed by how clingy the Psychic Type is. Other than that, there really is not much to Abra.
Golduck: Golduck was caught as a Psyduck on Route 6, after Katty had made her first visit to Saffron City. Katty was watching a Fisherman at work when the gentlemen reeled him in. Since Psyducks were considered relatively unreliable Pokémon, the Fisherman was about to throw him back when Katty volunteered to try to battle him. The notion was crazy, since the newbie trainer's only working Pokémon was her Sandshrew. If Psyduck was not so clumsy, they would have lost at Type disadvantage alone. Once he was defeated, Katty eagerly caught her third Pokémon and rushed to Vermillion City's Pokémon Center. Flattered that he was actually wanted by someone, Psyduck quickly warmed up to his new master. He always attempted at making her laugh and smile, but he was also incredibly clumsy, so often failed. After much patience, work, and battling and his fondness towards Katty, Psyduck eventually evolved into Golduck. The evolution seemed to take away his clumsy nature, but magnify his jokester mentality. Golduck is the jester of the group, often playing pranks on his fellow teammates and treating battles as games to still get laughs out of his trainer. His favorite victim to his tricks is Katty's Scizor, due to the polar opposites that their personalities are.
Flaaffy: Flaaffy was the first Pokémon Katty caught when she found herself in Johto. The whole experience was a new one, since Katty had known nothing about the Region's native Pokémon. Ampharos was caught as a Mareep on Route 32. Excited about the new Region and the other Pokémon to battle, Sandshrew was particularly harsh in his battle against Mareep. This left her very timid and skittish around her new family. It took Katty many a sleepless night simply sitting there and watching Mareep until she felt it was okay to approach the human. When Mareep saw that there was nothing to be afraid of about Katty, Mareep really started proving herself in battle. It turned out that this little sheep was very strong, but she was only able to work when there were none of her other teammates out (being as she still feared them). This lead to Mareep evolving very quickly into Flaaffy. With this new form and new power, Flaaffy became more confident around the rest of the team, but was often craving attention from Katty. It was bad enough that if so much as a scratch was given to her, she would stop the battle and run crying to her trainer. This makes training her a little more difficult, but Flaaffy certainly has proven herself to be one of the most reliable members of the team (when not begging for some lovin').
Scizor: Mareep may have been the first Pokémon Katty had caught while in Johto, but it was not the first she had. When Katty arrived in New Bark Town, she visited Professor Elm, since she had not done so to Professor Oak. She was given a Chikorita as her Johto Starter, but there was one problem: Chikorita was the biggest brat known to man. She never cooperated in battle and never got along with Katty nor the other Pokémon. Eager to get rid of her, somehow, Katty traded her for a Scyther in Goldenrod City. The trainer may have thought her stupid for trading off a Starter for a Pokémon commonly found in the National Park. To Katty, though, she had received the better end of the bargain, as she was taught that Scyther were very rare Pokémon, rarely seen by human eyes. The biggest surprise out of the trade, though, was that Scyther was carrying Metal Coat with him. Not even a few hours after the trade, he evolved into Scizor. Ecstatic with this new Pokémon, Katty quickly became attached. Not much was known about Scizor's personality as a Scyther, but now, he is practically the Pokémon equivalent of a Knight. He is fiercely loyal and protective of his trainer. If Katty is so much as in the slightest chance of danger, Scizor will escape from his Pokéball to defend her. He is also a very serious Pokémon and treats all of his battles as though they were his last. He is the oldest and most experienced of the team, since he had a trainer before Katty, unlike the rest of them. However, he often butts head (sometimes literally) with Golduck, not taking lightly to the Water Type's happy go lucky way of things.[/ul]
Note: This is the Katty used for the "Legendary Fury" plot.
