smallville has given me soooooooooooooo much muse, and so have you. ; D muse: ho's by pepper // somewhere out there by our lady peace I'LL BE PART OF HISTORY, WITH 15 BOOKS ON MY STORY
Jared was puzzled about the entire situation. He knew people could protective of their siblings, but he seemed to be taking it just a bit too far. Even he wouldn't go this far to protect his little sister. If there were a serious threat to his little sis he would use brutal force, though. Jared was complete harmless; he was a cook for fuck's sake! The man's brown eyes gazed upon Ryuu and he just put his hands deep into his pockets and looked him straight in the face. "Don't worry, kid. I'm as harmless as they get," Jared replied as he extended a hand to try and shake, but he doubted the gesture would work. Kenji looked at each person here and began to stroke his hairless chin. The male preferred to keep his chin shaved; he wasn't fond of beards. This man--Jared. He was on their side. This all seemed to working out well. This man could be one more person to help them stop the bad guys. Yes, the bad guys. "Hey," was all the boy said when the man introduced himself and greeted him. He seemed nice, but he began to think about Ryuu's comment. This man can't get in the way between him and Azami, could he? He wasn't that good looking...was he? The male's self-esteem slowly began to drop. He started to think he had no chance with the female. Poor Kenji. Jared looked at them all. The odd thing about this whole conversation was that they still hadn't really answered his question. Perhaps they hadn't heard that part of his introduction. He took a deep breath as he prepared to let it all out again. "Excuse me, but do you know what happened to the town hall? I was supposed to meet their with some people. We were going to plan a group to fight against the criminals in this corrupt city," the man repeated himself and whipped the sweat off his forehead. Hopefully, he'd get his answer this time. Meanwhile, the two Pokemon seemed to be locked inside a staring contest. Charizard and Marowak seemed unsure of each other. Each one thought the other was some sort of...evil being? Both were arrogant creature, but little did they know that the Marowak was also able to speak the human language. The only things that separated Marowak and Charizard was their species and the fact that Marowak obeyed his trainer's commands and respected him. "Drop dead," the lizard said as he continued to glare at the creature. "You first," the Marowak retorted.

competition is lovely. <3 --- muse: female characters from "the spirit" / turn my swag on by soulja boy tell 'em. --- words: 473
TOOK A LOOK IN THE MIRROR SAID "WASSUP" Rising from her curtsy, the young woman effortlessly pushed her brother's hand away and shook the stranger's, an action that was completely harmless. Azami typically greeted men with batting eyes and small kisses; such formality was certain uncommon (and partially unwelcome; change bothered her unless she was the one causing it). Regardless of such facts, a sideways glance told her that dearest Kenji was jumping to conclusions. Oh, if only she were in the mood for games... A single peck on the cheek seemed to have driven the poor fool batty; if she bothered to focus, bothered to play the role of a temptress... She played it so well, too, along with a number of others roles. But that, of course, was when emotional turmoil did not linger over her like a raincloud.
Other matters were more important for the time being, and she decided she might as well organize their plans — she seemed to be the only one competent, considering the cook wasn't to be trusted and Kenji was an idiot. Ryuu... Well, Ryuu was just a jerk. “Ryuu-kun, can you meet up with Sabrina and her lackeys? They might be of some use to us... Jared, Kenji, and I shall remain together in case we encounter villains. We should be all clear together, right?” There was a brief snort from her brother, but he obliged silently, wandering off towards the north of town with his Mightyena snarling at his side. And that left Azami, standing with two rather fine-looking men right by her... It was her best attempt at distracting herself and with the play she was bound to create a fine amount of drama. Anything was better than the tragedy that was her life, was it not?
“Let's go; Charizard, hush, won't you?” Without awaiting for a reply, she slipped between the two men, though leaned towards Jared, eyes wide with feigned interest. “So, Jared, you're a cook? I love a man who can cook — they're usually sensitive and kind and compassionate...! After this is over, do you think you could make me something? And for Kenji and Ryuu-kun, of course — we wouldn't want them to starve, would we?” She chattered on thoughtlessly, hoping to keep her mind focused of conversation and hoping that he might find her chattiness endearing. we need to get some criminal action ; D muse: ho's by pepper // the horizon has been defeated by jack johnson THE HORIZON HAS BEEN DEFEATED , BY THE PIRATES OF THE NEW AGE
Kenji eyed down the new man; no, he wasn't a threat at all. Kenji had no competition what so ever. Besides, how could a girl choose someone else over him? It was crazy talk. The seventeen year old had one good thing come out of this day; Ryuu was finally leaving. Now, he just had to get this Jared person out of the picture. "Uh-," the boy didn't say anything else because he was cut-off by Azami; she began to flirt with the fuckin' cook. "Cooks aren't ridiculously good-looking(with the exception of Rachel Ray), I am," the boy said to himself as he watched the two walk ahead of him. He wasn't in the best of moods, but he'd have to bare with it. Jared, on the other hand, had no real interest in this Azami, yet. Perhaps he'd develop some feeling once he actually got to know her, but it was unlikely. Besides, it was obvious the red-head had a thing for her. Jared was, indeed, flattered by the girls words, but he wasn't going to take the bait. "Yeah...," the nineteen year old began as he ran a hand down his messy hair to try and straighten it; it was no use. "Yeah, I'd like to cook for you all sometime. I could really use some feedback on the taste," the man said with a brightened smile on his face, but it slowly faded away when he heard bickering behind him. It was, of course, Charizard and Marowak again. "Fuck you!" the Charizard yelled at the top of it's lungs. He didn't like this newcomer one bit. However, the creature did have some balls to stand up to him like that. That still didn't change how much he despised the Marowak. "Take the skull off your head. You look ridiculous," the lizard said as he walked away from the creature and toward his trainer. "Bitch," the Marowak mumbled as he gripped the bone in his hand, ready to throw it right at the Charizard's head. The creature was deficiently underestimating him and he planned to show the lizard exactly what he could do. Jared walked over toward Marowak after he saw the Charizard walk away. He knocked he creature on the skull head with his fist to get it's attention. "Please, don't hurt anyone. I'm trying to get some critique's for my food while trying to save this city at the same time. So, please control your temper," the man's words seemed to drag on in the Marowak's mind, but he always obeyed his master. He slowly took a few deep breathes and continued to walk with Jared. I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU HUSBAND AND WIFE. SHABLAMMIEEE. --- muse: light surrounding you by evermore / big bad world by plain white t's. --- words: 473
I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS OVER, I THOUGHT YOU'D UNDERSTAND The reaction was not what she expected, nor was it one that she desired. The chef was not like normal men, one easily manipulated and controlled. Normal men could be manipulated within moments, considering the all-too-revealing outfit she wore. They always seemed to think they would tell her what to do: would lead her to their beds for the night and have their way with her. But she was not so easily manipulated, and she was Mona Lisa. That secret smile... What ever was she thinking? It would have been clear to anyone who knew her what that shy smile meant when it appeared upon glancing at Kenji: she had him exactly wear she wanted him. There was still the enigma to deal with, damn Jared... But it mattered not, for she would not tolerate failure — she would wrap him around her finger somehow, some way. Unfortunately, she was at a loss of how to manipulate such a non-reactive person...
“I'll tell you how something else tastes.” Devious and flirtatious, she looked up at him with an all-too-suggestive smile. With her back to Kenji, it would have been hard to tell what his thoughts on the matter were, so she had to rely on sound. Azami could have, of course, simply glanced at him, but she feared that Jared would catch on to her little act if she didn't focus completely on him. Unfortunately, she didn't have the opportunity to devote such attention to him, for a boom nearby and billowing smoke alerted her to the villains' whereabouts: the Silph Co. building, which glowed orange with fire. “Fuck. Let's go,” she snapped, mood changing drastically now that lines were on the line. After releasing Armageddon, she charged thoughtlessly into the building, screams of workers and cackles of villains coming from every which way. Placing one hand over her mouth in a feeble attempt to block the flames, she advanced further into the building, looking for signs of life. [/blockquote]

ily; D muse: big bad world by plain white t's // the horizon has been defeated by jack johnson THE HORIZON HAS BEEN DEFEATED , BY THE PIRATES OF THE NEW AGE
The female's words ran through both of the male's minds like a broken record. It seemed to just keep repeating. It was actually a very dirty comment and Kenji was surprised to hear it come out of her mouth. They suddenly stopped thinking the moment the they all heard a loud boom sound. It was friendly too they're ears. Immediately, the toy men looked toward Azami, who seemed well aware of what was going on. She was taking charge of the entire situation.
Kenji quickly followed Azami into the building that was up in flames. He stayed close to her; he didn't want her to get hurt. If she got paralyzed then it would totally suck for Kenji. He covered his mouth with one hand and scanned the area for any survivors. He heard screams and laughs. The laughs were probably the people who did this.
Without any warning, Charizard came flying into the building. The wings of the beast were flapping rapidly, causing some of the flames to extinguish. This made it easier for everyone to breath and look for people. This also meant the villains were now visible. The lizard made things a lot easier. When he finally landed on the ground he searched for the closest criminal he could find. A muscular man with an evil grin on it's faced looked up at him, pokeball in hand. The creature simply punched the man right in he face before the man could blink.
Marowak was doing a little battling himself. The creature spotted another criminal; they all looked the same to him. He eyed one of them down and from about 10 yard away he threw the bone in his hand toward the man. He didn't even see it coming. Right in the side of the head. The man dropped to the ground.

seven months later... ♥ the ending is inspired by ranger: shadows of almia. :] --- muse: come back to me - the plain white t's. --- words: 473
IF YOU COME RUNNIN' BACK TO ME, I'LL BE HERE WAITIN' The fire let up only minimally, the smoke clearing only momentarily — gradually, the flames would reclaim their old territory with the greediness of its creators, wretched smoke billowing from the harsh orange and out the cracked windows. Soot was quick to cover most of the inhabitants and Azami’s pristine beauty quickly faded as the dull gray began to cover her entire body, essentially ruining the good thirty minutes she had invested in her appearance earlier in the day. Regardless, there was something awe-inspiring about her, something that might have surprised the men that had recklessly followed her into this damned Hell hole. Azami put an unexpected amount of effort into keeping herself and any others safe, whether it be by eliminating enemies or guiding the injured to the exit. It was certainly not required of her, a graceful young lady that seemed more fit for a beauty pageant than a crime bust, to commandeer this haphazard team… But whom else was there? Jared was too meek to take the reins and Kenji was too thick-headed — she was the only one left and she wasn’t about to let the others down by saving her own hide.
“Contact the authorities. Tell them to contact Ryuu Akiyama or Rose Quintero, if possible,” she directed after having found a badly burned, nearly asphyxiated worker — a receptionist, Azami presumed, considering her location in the inferno — to the door. It was unlikely the woman would remember either of the names, but a part of her dully hoped that either of them might be able to help — if not Rose, an old friend, then her brother certainly… Where was he, anyways? She gave a wheezing cough, trying to ignore the dizziness that pervaded her consciousness, and staggered away from the door — it was too tempting and there were more to save. Unfortunately, this work couldn’t be saved for later, which seemed supported as a part of the roof caved in over Armageddon. This, however, was not the end of her worries as her Pokémon gave one terrified snarl, a defensive reaction she had grown accustomed to years ago. “Wha—?” She didn’t have time to finish the question, for she soon saw a massive black hole spreading across the floor, dark energy seeming to billow mercilessly from it. And, what seemed to be coming from hundreds of feet beneath the surface of the darkness, came the vague snarls of what she was quick to identify as her Houndoom. Sweat gathering quickly upon her forehead, she glanced around for her sole comrades. Jared was off in the distance with his Marowak, taking out some villains. She was tempted to snap at them to question those they encountered before knocking them unconscious, though the thought did not linger for long. Instead, she found herself staring at Kenji a mere ten feet away, enthralled with opponents of his own as the darkness creeped but closer and closer. It seemed ignorant to her, perhaps out of spite — taunting her, forcing her to watch as her companions were eliminated one by one… Truth be told, she cared little about Jared, except for the fact that he had a dick — thus, he was easily manipulated and a fun toy. But Kenji had saved her, had risked his moronic life for her… Why did she have to be so selfless — better yet, why did she have to actually care? The answer didn’t matter because she was already on the move, shouting, “Behind you, moron!” as she went. She leaped into the air with grace (it seemed clear that she had, once upon a time, partaken in at least basic gymnastics), arms outstretched in an attempt to push him away — ‘far away,’ she thought vehemently — as she felt herself falling. Her as widened as the darkness took her in, brought her to a realm that made her shriek from the chills that ran down her spine. Here, in this demon’s world, nightmares came true: Seiji walked around tauntingly, tombstones lay somberly before her, and her broken body was settled off in the distance. Regardless, there was one simple thought that reduced her mild sobs to shaking breaths: ‘Kenji will save me.’ These violent delights have violent ends and in their triumph die, like fire and powder, which as they kiss consume.
